May I come and watch a practice?

Absolutely—we are admitting viewers to our Wednesday evening practices from 7 – 8:30pm. Please drop us a note through our ‘Contact Us’ page to let us know you will be dropping by. Remember to remove your shoes when entering our practice hall.

How do I join the club?

What is the minimum age for registration?

We currently only accept students that are at least 8 years of age.

How often will I practice?

For new members, practices are held twice a week (Wednesdays and Fridays). Check out our current practice schedule.

What is the etiquette in regards to entering and leaving the dojo?

Before entering the dojo, remove your shoes. When passing through the threshold of the door, turn to the scrolls at the front of the dojo and offer a short bow at the hips. Make sure to bow before leaving as well. We thank you for respecting our traditions.

How much does it cost?

Juniors (students under 15 years of age) $150 annually
Adults (16 years of age and over) $200 annually

As we are a not-for-profit, help us keep costs low by volunteering at our various events throughout the year.

What do I wear to my first practice?

We ask that you choose comfortable and preferably athletic attire for your first practice. No equipment is required.

When may I purchase armour or bogu?

We ask that beginners and first-timers not purchase bogu without the express permission of the Head Sensei.
